#1 VR PROJECT UPDATE
a. UI Scene Coded
I’ve built Starting Menu Scene, Pause UI Menu and Tutorial Scene, which can jump back and forth.
But I cannot call a menu in my main scene right now, so I cannot display my pause menu. I have no idea how to solve it now, I cannot use menu/start or any button from xr controller to activate the menu.
b.Move, Turning & Jump Coded
I’ve implemented moving, turning and jumping functions, but I met some issues regarding jumping. I can only jump after moving, and I cannot jump whenever I press the button, I can only jump after several times button pressing.
c.Level Design/Terrain
Mesh Collider added
It was occurring the issue that when I use my imported models, it will lack the collide detection.
But I still need to adjust the scenes. (to set a boundary to prevent the play from jumping out of my scene)
d.Interaction – Change Materials Function Tested
When the player uses ray to hover over Jellyfish, it will change the texture and uses the grip button to select, it will glow.
But I met the problem that I cannot set priority between hover and select, I want the glow material will be fixed when it’s selected though the hover exit.
e.Interaction – Vehicle researched
I want to set the jellyfish as a vehicle, so the player can ‘drive’ jellyfish.
But when I look for some tutorials, found it tough to implement right now.
