Week 11-12 CVR Summary


#1 VR Project Update

a. connect project with mac

I should admit that it’s tough to connect my project with headset using macOS.

I bought PICO4 but found PICO developer software is not that compatible with macOS and my project would crash when importing Pico SDK, which happened the same when I imported Oculus Integration to my project. So I had to use XR interaction toolkit to set everything up.

After 3-day trying, I finally built the Android apk and linked my setup project with my mac, and sent it to Oculus headset.

b.Hand animation & XR ray coded

I have coded two Hand animations using the trigger and grip button.

I also added the ray, but I don’t want it to appear all the time, so I will look at the scripts which can control the visibility when the player is about to select the object.

Then I’ll look at laser pointer interaction & UI canvas.

c.Level design and skybox added

missing texture problem fixed

(but the project crashed because of the Oculus integration imported)
